Knack Collective is seeking an experienced and well-networked Director of Sales. The ideal candidate will have an account strategy and sales background, ideally within an strategic consultancy, creative agency or digital marketing environment, that enables you to identify opportunities, define solutions, and close business with net-new customers. You will interact with and sell to marketing budget owners at leading technology companies, working collaboratively to identify business need and demonstrate the value of our services. Success will require both strong business and marketing acumen, as well as an innate ability to build authentic and lasting relationships with key decision makers and budget holders at all management levels. This role will play a pivotal part in the growth of Knack’s business. Successful candidates will be driven by results, bring an eye for new opportunities, and demonstrated ability to build impactful relationships within our client’s organizations.
Responsibilities
Identify, prospect, and generate new business opportunities by proactively reaching out to target clients within the technology sector, particularly leading technology companies with significant partner programs.
Cultivate strong client relationships by acting as a trusted advisor to provide strategic guidance, understand their business needs, and identify opportunities for selling, upselling, and cross-selling Knack’s services.
Develop and execute a comprehensive sales strategy and scalable execution model to achieve revenue targets. Construct sales plans, forecasts, and pipeline qualification and conversion criteria.
Continuously analyze market trends, competitor activities, ideal client profiles, service positioning, and industry developments to identify opportunities for growth and work with marketing to capitalize on them.
Prepare and deliver compelling presentations, proposals, and sales pitches to potential clients, showcasing the value and benefits of Knack's services. Clearly articulate our agency's expertise, unique selling points, and the results-driven approach we employ.
Lead new business negotiations. Collaborate with legal and finance teams to ensure contracts are accurate, compliant, and executed in a timely manner.
Work closely with internal teams, including marketing, strategy, creative, and account management to ensure our capabilities and delivery models meet the needs of the market and position Knack for success.
Stay current with the latest industry trends, technologies, competitors, and best practices, in addition to developing a high degree of fluency in Knack’s capabilities, solutions and value proposition. Act as a subject matter expert, sharing insights and knowledge internally and externally to enhance Knack's reputation and thought leadership position.
Regularly provide insights to senior management regarding sales performance, revenue forecasts, and key metrics. Make data-driven recommendations for improving sales strategies and processes.
Requirements
Minimum 7 years of proven sales experience in the marketing or digital advertising industry, preferably within a marketing agency or strategic consultancy working directly with technology companies.
Deep understanding of the cloud technology industry, including familiarity with the products, services, and partner ecosystems of major technology companies. Knowledge of partner marketing strategies, tactics, and best practices is highly desirable.
Excellent negotiation, persuasion, and communication skills, with the ability to influence and build relationships at all levels of an organization. Proven track record in achieving sales targets and driving revenue growth.
Strong business acumen and strategic mindset, with the ability to analyze market trends, identify opportunities, and develop effective sales strategies.
Demonstrated ability to think creatively and develop innovative solutions to meet client needs.
You will have existing relationships and a history of success and attainment to targets in previous roles.
Exceptional presentation and public speaking skills, with the ability to confidently deliver persuasive pitches and engage clients in meaningful discussions.
Strong collaboration and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team environment. Willingness to contribute ideas, share knowledge, and support the success of colleagues.
Highly motivated and results-oriented, with a strong sense of ownership and accountability.
